I’ve been here officially just over a year now. Would I say I love it? Hell nah. It’s perfectly fine. I love my house and neighborhood and probably my neighbors. The traffic is bad but not demonstrably worse than 183/121/114.

The Good:
Down to one mortgage of my own.
18 is ready for independence and we’re working on driving.
16 is about to take Driver’s Ed and has a busy summer of school shenanigans ahead of her.
The Bad:
One mortgage for the brother-in-law’s house until it gets sold.
Probate/executor of the estate is a hell of a thing and that’s a time sink. Definitely do it to someone you hate ‘cause that’s some bullshit. If I meet my sister again I’m fighting her ass for real.
13’s friend is going to another school next year so she sad.
11a might be addicted to her phone.
11b lost his computer due to attitude and effort (lack thereof).
Looks like they are getting somewhat adapted to living with the coolest, most shirtless uncle. I get a lot of “man that’s cool” when talking about the kids and it is but I don’t really know how to respond. It’s just a thing you gotta do. It’s definitely a pain in the ass and some days I don’t have the capacity to deal with the mental load of all the planning. Like holy hell logistics is a bitch. Good thing McDonald’s and Taco Bell are on the way home so I can get them through one more meal. I got a crock pot book but I’ll be damned if I can start it lol.

So I’m going to get 18 a car and 16 a car and that will free up some time for me ‘cause I’ll be damned if I’m driving them everywhere or waiting on them for the weekend. I just need to find some Mazdas ASAP.
Black on extra Mazdas cadre. Up on teen/pre-teen attitude though.
I’m also trying to maximize their value on my health insurance so I’ve got two of them in braces. Found a close eye doctor and dentist. Need to find a pediatrician and gynecologist. Also I was able to get them in therapy for a minute due to dead parents but they’ve all graduated from that. These are things I never thought I would have to think about but here we are.
So I’m still here and still kicking and thanks to everyone for checking in on me.
I’m looking forward to the day when my fast food order is back under $20.
